I had an awesome time playing instruments to different songs from musical movies. It was lots of fun. I really enjoyed the drums

Hand massages

 Today in girls group we made a sugar and oat hand scrub and had nice hand massages with moisturiser. Getting a massage felt so relaxing. D.H. 

Sensory

 

I enjoyed exploring animals and writing them down from my book. I had sheep and pigs and dogs, the moved on to the elephant, giraffe and the rhino.

Today I practiced my reading. I read a Mr Men Book called “Little Miss Brainy.” I also created a book using AI about Ed Sheeran visiting us at the Daybase! WD
 

Life skills

 

We cut out safe and unsafe scenarios and discussed them. Then we glued them into the correct columns. EB

Music and dance

 

Today I played guess that song in our music session, instead of guessing I danced instead! - TR

Sensory

 

I really enjoyed a keep the beat session to super fun Disney songs. I did a great job at staying on time

I enjoyed tracing this fish and drawing its spots. I liked coloring in the big body and making sure the tail was the right shape

My brother

 

I was so happy to have my brother Andrew come and visit me. It was wonderful and special. I showed him what we were learning in life skills

I enjoyed finishing shopping and playing a game of uno with my friends. I was really good but not good enough to win the game unfortunately

Today I had fun listening and dancing to all types of Caribbean music!

I had so much fun sorting out the stamps and exploring them, I loved naming the alphabet tiles and then finding all the letter to write my name

I had lots of fun today throwing the balls across the room towards the musical instruments on the floor. It was lots of fun, and I was really working on my aim. I loved having a drum next to me and I enjoyed bouncing the ball off of that to hear the sounds too

Shopping

 

I did an awesome job helping load all the groceries out of the trolley and onto the belt. It was great and I enjoyed counting all the milk bottles

Stringed instruments

 

Today we were learning about stringed instruments. Did you know that Italy is the home of the Violin family?! Violins, Violas, Cellos, and the Bass all originate from there. So cool! We saw a video of some very talented people playing those instruments. It was mesmerizing.

I enjoyed getting new pictures for my personal book. It was lovely picking them and talking about what happened in it

Today my friends and I finished a coins and banknotes worksheet. We learnt some useful skills about how to add coins and notes together! WD

Today we put on videos showing us how to draw flowers and we followed the instructions.  It was lots of fun and I really enjoyed it. I made an awesome sun flower

Te Reo fun

 

We had so much fun in music this afternoon doing Te Reo music. Hakas, poi, national anthem and more. It was a fun and interactive music session.

I enjoyed doing some magnets puzzles and then  asking my own puzzles for my friends. It was lots of fun and a bit tricky

Brownie Initiation

 

This morning I had my official Initiation into the Arohanui Brownie Group. I will work hard to earn my badges and become the best Brownie I can be. I got given a special Brownie bag which I can take home. And I have a special Brownie sash that I helped make last year. I'm looking forward to keeping my Brownie Promise.
